As Legal Counsel, you will oversee the legal and privacy aspects of Netigate in the DACH region while being deeply involved in the business initiatives in DACH. You will safeguard our reputation and integrity by ensuring that the company strictly follows legal guidelines and give legal advice to management about all relevant issues. You will directly report to the Head of Legal (based in Stockholm) and closely collaborate with all other departments at Netigate. If you have a few yearsβ qualified legal experience and like the prospect of working closely with international teams at a SaaS company that is growing fast in the DACH region, this may be the perfect role for you.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Solid experience in independently negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, including customer agreements, supplier agreements, IT agreements, SLAs.
- Excellent working knowledge of GDPR and primarily German Datenschutz ,+ AGB, including reviewing and negotiating terms of service and DPAs in German and English.
- Basic working knowledge of German company law.
- Interest in learning a broader range of ancillary legal areas in DACH countries, incl. employment law, IP, commercial real estate.
- Excited by working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once, independently, and meet deadlines.
- DACH-area law degree and legal qualification in at least one DACH jurisdiction (preferably Germany or Austria).
- Business fluency in German and English (English is used as our main corporate group language but much of your work with external parties will be in German).
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience from a SaaS company, scale-up or another high-growth business.
- Working knowledge of law in other DACH countries, including Swiss FADP.
- Experience in instructing, budgeting, and managing other legal services and external counsel.
- Interest in IT security (ISO certification is important to us).
- Experience in M&A .
- Interest in using legal tech tools to work effectively.
- Ability to develop and run legal training sessions for other colleagues (such as sales team).
